The Drifting Cowboys

The Drifting Cowboys is the brainchild of singer/guitarist David Landon who considers Hank Williams to be one of the greatest song writers of the last 100 years. Mr Landon’s deep love and respect for the Hank William’s songbook was the inspiration for forming a band made up of the bay area’s finest players to perform this great music with it’s original instrumentation. The Drifting Cowboys line up is: David Phillips on Pedal Steel guitar (Tom Waits,Charlie Hunter) , Candy Girard on fiddle (Western Swing Hall of Fame inductee), and Joe Kyle Jr. on acoustic bass (who has played with a long list of who’s who’s in the music business). Together the band plays music that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
