Marco & the Polos

Marco & the Polos are a Bay-Area based, mostly acoustic, Americana septet built around the vocal harmonies of siblings Judith (vocals, percussion), Tricia (vocals, guitar, banjo), Frances (vocals, percussion) and Mick (Marco) Hellman (vocals, drums) who grew up playing the original call-and-response game after which their band is named. Their music ranges from Americana-tinged originals to blues and rock classics and showcases the siblings’ signature four-part harmonies. They are joined by guitarist Stevie Coyle (The Waybacks, Mighty Fine Guitars), keyboardist Austin de Lone (Eggs Over Easy, Elvis Costello), and bassist Joshua Zucker (The Jones Gang, Rowan Brothers). As comfortable gracing festival stages as they are breaking hearts in intimate listening rooms, Marco & the Polos are a mainstay of the Bay Area acoustic scene and a fixture at the Hardy Strictly Bluegrass Festival
