Maggie is a lead vocalist known for her lush, soulful vocals, and personal, poetic, Indie-folk originals. With East and West coast fans, she's performed with Peter Rowan, Jerry Jeff Walker, Vicki Randle, Lindsay Lou, James Nash, Evie Laden, The Rainbow Girls, members of ALO, The Brother’s Comatose and more. A veteran of three High Sierra Music Festivals, she appears frequently in SF Bay’s favorite listening spaces. Formerly with Buffalo Roam Band, Maggie is the founding member of Wildcat Canyon Women’s Troubadour Collective and Three Rivers band, as well as a recording artist, a respected educator and a co-facilitator of “Women’s Liberate & Elevate" and "Embody the Groove Workshops”. Her 2019 album, "Traveling On" features celebrated artists, Vicki Randle-vocals, Lebo (Dan Lebowitz) -Pedal Steel, Nat Keefe -guitar, Jeff Coleman-keys, Steve Adams-bass, Maggie Forti-Vocals, guitar, songwriting, James Nash-guitar, Rob Hooper-drums, and Phil Brezzina-violin. The CD has received great reviews and airtime on KALW, KPFA, KALX, KBMR, WUMB!

Maggie's professional music credits, collaborations, and projects span decades. She's a performer, singer songwriter, recording artist, studio session vocalist, music teacher with a BA from Berklee college of Music and extensive background on many genres. Her current bands "Three Rivers" (Maggie, Jeff Hobbs, Anne Marie Praetzal) and "Maggie Forti & Friends" (Maggie, Jeff Hobbs, Anne Marie Praetzal, Gerry Pagano, Jim Larson) are soulful, Indie-folk/Americana, Bay area favorites!
